Fun in the Sun .. Summer Camps
Join us for our 2010 Summer Camp!
"Intro to Horses" Camp Dates: June 14th - June 18th, 9 am - 2 pm, June 19th Musical Horse Show to show family and friends what you have learned at Summer Camp! (Show will start at 11 am and go until finish). **3 SPACES LEFT**
We will offer a second "Intro To Horses Camp" in late July. - Dates TBA by April 1st.
"Advanced Horse Camp" CCS Lesson Students ONLY. June 21st - 25th, Attending TTC Show on 26th. 9 am to 2 pm
We limit our "Intro to Horses" summer camps to 4 riders/campers MAX, this helps us to provide individual riding. Camps fill up FAST, so Register EARLY!
Each camper will be assigned a horse for the week; each camper will treat this horse as their very own and be responsible for helping to feed, groom, and love this horse while at camp (and yes, campers will clean one horse stall for the week). This is great fun way to teach responsibility and for kids to see all the hard work that goes into owning your own horse!
Everyday campers will get to ride in the morning. For riding we will split the campers into two groups of two.
Campers will get a notebook to take home, full of information about horses. We will learn about different horse breeds; horse anatomy; basic vet and farrier care; daily care and cost of owning a horse; and so much more! After learning something new about horses, we will "quiz" campers on what they have learned, all preparing for the jeopordy game on Friday! (Quizzes can be fun! Like the Color Me Horse Colors Quiz and Paint By Body Part for Horse Anatomy!)
In addition to learning about horses, and getting to learn to ride; each day we will complete a speciall craft and scrapbook page to take home!
Thursday we will trail ride with the campers. And Friday we offer one on one riding time with the instructor to prepare for the Horse Show on Saturday! WE ARE THE ONLY CAMP IN THE AREA OFFERING ONE ON ONE RIDING TIME!!!!
Friday is Horse Jeopordy with special horse prizes to win ( no camper will go home empty handed!). Saturday will be a Muscial Horse Show; Students will put together a ride to show what they have learned at horse camp, and pick a song to ride too!! Friends and Families are invited and encouraged to come!!
