Our Training Philosphy

Two important statements to remember are:
- Horses are Individuals
- Horses have different learning styles, and respond differently to training methods.

We understand these two statements, therefore we treat your horse as an individual and develop a customized training program for YOU and YOUR HORSE!

Horses learn through your communication with them, and just like teenagers horses need your respect in order for you to gain theirs. Communication is the key to respect (in humans and horses; You wouldn’t have respect for someone that beat you into complying with them, so why would your horse respect someone that dominated them?) We don’t ask that the horse respect us, and in return we will respect them; The horse asks us for respect, and in returns respect us. Communication with a horse is not complicated, they don’t understand “what if’s” and “ maybe”, they understand consistency. In order for your horse to learn a new task, you have to be consistent in how you ask and your response. No horses are the same, No two horses learn the same, but all horses need respect and consistency, and those are the two key points in our training methods.
