Crystal Creek Stables

It has been a while since we posted a blog entry! Since out last blog entry we have entered into WINTER, and it is COLD! BRRRRR....

On Dec. 6th we attended the Mocksville Christmas parade, and David and Katy took the spotlight in there John Deere Themed out fit! Soldier and Anne, Rosie and Zack, and Sky and Lou also attended the parade. All the horses were very well behaved!

We also have some new riding students to welcome to the Crystal Creek family. This is our slow time of the year, between weather and Holidays, it is getting harder to schedule and keep weekly lessons! We are pleased to have such dedicated students though, that come out to ride even in the 30 degree weather!

We are looking forward to starting the 2010 show season! This year we will have students showing in dressage and jumping classes too! We are very excited to have more students interested in showing!

We would like to wish EVERYONE a HAPPY HOLIDAY Season, and also safe travels to all!!

Kittens ... 08/16/2009

A stray cat decided to have kittens in our barn, in the back of Soldiers stall. After she realised we discovered the kitttens, she moved all but one black male. We adopted the kitten, and took him to the vet. We are unable to devote the time needed to care of such a small kitten (approx. 2 weeks of age), a good friend of ours (Joe and Diane) took him in as a foster. They have raised kittens before, and several orphan kittens, and are better able to care for this little guy "who has no name" at this point. We will keep everyone updated on his progress!! :)

Well, summer is slowing down, Our Summer Camp is over, school will be back in session soon, and before long the leaves will be changing.

We have had a successful summer, with lots of new lesson students (children and adults). Our Summer Camp was a blast, with lots of riding.  We have had several birthday parties - which are always memorable! And we had a great time showing at some local shows!

Fall is on the way, and more excitement to come. We have several events planned, including horse shows, a possible fall camp, and an October Festival for our "family".

Happy 4th of July! God Bless America, and our Soldiers that have/and are fighting for our freedoms.  We hope everyone has a wonderful Independence Day.

We will be cancelling our Summer Camp scheduled for July 6th - 10th. We have had a lot of interest, but no commitments to this camp, because of the holiday, and summer vacations. The economy has taken it's toll on everyone, and we certainly are not excluded and understand. We will be offering a fall camp, to be scheduled with Forsyth County's Fall Break, so please look for more information on that too come!

Although our camp was not a success, our lesson schedule is filling up! We will be adding a new beginner instructor to our team this fall!
